Mini Red Dress in Crochet, Favor in Crochet 2017/06/13

Today we will make a precious party favor for the first year of a beautiful baby girl, you can accompany it with candy, use it as a corsage or give it away as a baby shower souvenir

Materials

• Red tread No.2
• Needle 1.25 mm
• Tulle and red ribbon
• Scissors and red thread
• Little pearls

Base: we sew 5 cm of chain stitches and close in a circle

Round 1: work 40 double crochets over this circle

Round 2: work 2 double crochets on each of the previous double crochets, 80 stitches in total

Round 3: work 3 chain stitches in the air and 2 double crochets in the same place, close letting a chain stitch pass, repeat 10 times

Still in round 3: pass 20 stitches (this will be the sleeve) and hook the next stitch with what is the back of the dress, continue the same procedure “Round 3” hook to the front of the dress and close when finishing this round

With a needle and thread we go through the whole waist of the dress to adjust the width, this is optional but it’ll give form to the dress

For the tulle skirt, we cut a 24 cm width and 35 cm length piece, fold in three ways along it so there is a width of 8cm, the fold will go on the front of the dress forming a “bastille”

Now we sew with thread and needle the tulle skirt to the knitted part

We form a small bow and place a little pearl, everything sewn by hand, we seal the tips of the ribbon with fire
