Tutorial on how to create a gingerbread man in felt 2014/12/14

I present you the next Gingerbread Cookie in Felt, to decorate any gift, the tree, a wreath this Christmas, or in a larger dimension to make it a centerpiece.

Materials: Beige felt. Snow white, red and brown yarn. Pins, scissors and foam rubber as the filling. Gingerbread Cookie Mold.

I have transferred the cookie mold to a cardboard so it is harder. I keep the mold firm on the felt with pins to be able to cut it.

We cut it.

We separate the pieces to be able to just embroider the front part. With a basting I prepare the line where I will embroider the icing of the cookie. And I apply the design of the following embroidery, both for the icing of the dress, feet and hands

Here I show the progress of the embroidery.

For the little star on the icing, I have used the next diagram.

And this is the result

To make the ribbons around the neck, I sewed 5 horizontal lines.

Now let’s embroider the eyes and cheeks.

We finish embroidering the rest.

We get ready to close the cookie, joining both parts with pins, to keep the cookie firm while we embroider supporting on the next diagram, separating the embroidery more than how it looks on the design.

A little before closing, we keep the pins on the start and end of the embroidery, to make sure our seams don’t open.

We fill it with the foam rubber.

And here is our finished Gingerbread Cookie.

If you want to add joy, color and eye candy to your Christmas parties, you can purchase the Candyland Christmas Party, a party accessory to stick, available on-line here.

The visual support of the embroideries are from About Home

I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Pleasure to make your party special.
