Ikebana, what does it mean and how to make a flower arrangement 2017/05/23

Ikebana is the Japanese art for lively flower arrangements.

And it will be today’s proposal for oriental style events; these arrangements can also be classified as minimalistic.

Materials

  • 5 or 7 yellow cornet gannets
  • 3 French corn leaves or aspidistra
  • 5 long branches
  • Some Gypsophila Paniculata branches

In Ikebana every element is natural, except for the base

Except, in this case, the water container that will be hidden below the arrangement; I show how to make a vial with a jar, a net and a band (in case of not having a florist vial)

We use 3 leaves for foliage placed as shown in the image

We mount the foliage leaves and cover the vial with weed leaves

We tie the veil with a string to the stair

Once the the base is set, we start inserting the flowers in the vial, displaying the flowers upwards...

towards the center zone and some with a fallen effect; in the the end we cover with the white flowers here and there

The yellow Lilly cornet is ideal for this arrangement, being an uneven number the necessary to cover the arrangement, in this case five

Our arrangement can fit in the Panda Party, remember that pandas like bamboo

Pleasure to make your party special
