How to create an open terrarium using recycled plant pots 2021/06/24

Succulents are perfect for those without a green hand and to decorate every corner of the house.

Today we will use a large pot from a famous spreadable cream, and we will create an open terrarium, perfect for plants that can´t tolerate excessive humidity, for example, cacti and succulents in general.

Necessary:

  • A large crystal vase
  • Succulents
  • Dirt, sand, pebbles
  • Cocktail spoon and kitchen tongs.

We start to pour approximately half of the pebbles in the vase.

Then we also add one part of sand and dirt

Using the tongs, we extract the plant from the pot and plant it in the crystal vase.

We add a little dirt with the spoon.

Depending on the size of the pot, you can use one or more plants, there were a couple in mine.

I have chosen Mammillaria and a regular succulent.

Add more sand and pebbles and press with the spoon.

Succulents require little maintenance, so you can spray them with some water or add a few drops at the top.

Your open terrarium can be used as a decoration in a summer party like Cactus and you can use it just as a base for a centerpiece. Find everything you need in our online store.
