Modern and motivational advent calendar. 2023/11/27

The Advent Calendar as we know it today was born in Germany in the early 20th century.

It consisted of printed sheets with religious images or short poems to be cut out and pasted day after day on a page with empty squares from December 1 to 24.

Taking up this tradition, today we will create a modern and above all motivational Advent calendar because we know that sometimes our children, classmates or even ourselves need a word of comfort or a phrase that encourages us to give our best version.

Materials:

  • An empty box (I used a medicine box).
  • Scissors and cutter
  • Hot glue
  • Green, white, black and red foam rubber.
  • Adhesive tape 5 cm wide
  • Black, white, red, green, white and red markers and cardboard.
  • Needle

Think of some motivational quotes or print our own.

Cut them out one by one to create small cards and stick them in random order on the cards, varying the colors.

Write the numbers 1 to 24 on the cards and place them in order, spaced 1 cm apart. Pull a long strip of masking tape, stick the bills on and secure with a second strip.

With the needle make a series of small holes close together in the space between the cards and the card.

Cut a small piece of the box to create an opening and cover it with foam, alternating colors on different sides, you can also create decorative stripes. Glue the label "Advent Calendar" on top of the opening.

Fold the calendar strip in a zigzag pattern and gently insert it into the slot, leaving the number 1 on the outside.

Each day, tear a card and read your phrase.

You can also create several calendars and give them as gifts to friends, co-workers, etc.

To decorate your holiday party, download and print the Modern Christmas digital kit without limits.
