Beef “Straccetti” Recipe, Italian Recipe 2017/08/30

 

Today I present to you a recipe I made with my daughters. It was enough to say “Beef Straccetti” for them to keep quiet...

It’s second course plate prepared with a meat base and a sauce I created coincidentally, and now one of my most requested recipes!

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 400-500 grams of beef not too thick
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar (not white or red vinegar because the final flavor changes)
  • A tablespoon of butter (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Cut slices of beef in strips or small chunks

Put them in a pan, add salt and cook until the meat starts to brown

Add the honey, balsamic vinegar and ketchup, and mix

Cook for 10 to 15 minutes and add a tablespoon of butter (optional)

Let the sauce reduce, recheck the salt and stir occasionally

The beef Straccetti is ready!
