Savory roses recipe 2021/06/07

 

Today I want to prepare with you a recipe that I would dare to describe as typically feminine even in appearance: savory roses.

For this quick recipe you will need 2 ingredients: puff pastry and cold cuts

A clarification about the ingredients: you can choose puff pastry or short pastry and your favorite cold cuts; I chose cooked ham and bresaola to satisfy my taste. I suggest you avoid raw ham or speck because they become saltier during the cooking process.

Other useful tools: wax paper and a knife.

Remember to preheat the oven to 180°C.

Roll out the pastry and cut strips of about 1,5 – 2 cm. The center, bigger, must be cut in half.

I had a bit of a hard time cutting the strips anyway with a round pastry, so I recommend you use the rectangular one to get more even strips.

I also cut the meat slices into strips.

I placed the meat slices on top of the pastry and rolled.

Put the rolls you got in a baking tray lined with wax paper

Cook for 10-15 minutes according to the instructions on the pastry you chose.

The savory roses are ready, to serve both hot and cold.
