It’s time to write the letter for Santa Claus 12/14/2017

Colorful, filled with hope, commitments, promises and children’s wishes, the letter is a weapon in the hands of the parents... it’s time to write the famous letter to Santa Claus!

Parents often use the letter as a means to make sure their children behave correctly and be good at school, because elves are always watching to control everything and inform Santa Claus himself. And we know that mothers...ALL OF THEM! have the phone number to alert Santa if the child misbehaves...

Trusting a letter with their own wishes is a tradition that goes back in time. Among the methods to take it to its destiny are the ones who burn the letter in the chimney (which leaves me perplexed...), the ones who hide it under their parent’s plate or those who place it on the branches of the Christmas tree to be later removed by the elves (my favorite method)

On modern times the letter can be sent via email or deliver it in Santa Claus’s own hands in some mall or toy shop...

But the most known way to send it is through the classic airmail and sending it to a specific address:

In many countries the post office accepts addresses like: “Santa Claus’s house”, "North Pole” or simply “To Santa Claus”. For some years now, voluntary organizations have surfaced to respond to the children

But what do we write?

Firstly, one must be sincere and say how they’ve behaved all year long

Then indicate in detail the present or presents that are wished for

This way children can let their imagination go: indeed, alongside the classic toys, sometimes seen in catalogs and store fliers, some children also ask for a little brother or sister, puppies etc. including also lovely drawings

When a child makes their own design, they are giving away something very valuable of their own!

If the gifts your child has asked for are a lot and doable, (not like a real life dinosaur!), you can suggest some to grandparents or uncles, but safe the first one for Santa Claus, because the most wished gifts are generally on the top of the list!

Can we help them write the letter? Yes, if our child still can’t write or if they ask for our help, but if they don’t, let’s let them do it alone

And reading the letter? Only if our child allows us to, because it’s about a private issue between them and Santa Claus!

A study revealed that girls write a little bit about themselves, about Christmas, ask some questions and even ask for something for mom and dad or the younger siblings... for example my daughter asked for a present for her little sister who wasn’t even a year old!

Boys are more synthetic and direct on their requests

Once the letter has been issued, changes can’t be made on what was written

The only thing left is to wait for the magic night wrapped with enchantment and thrill
