How to create a decorative lamp with daisies 2015/06/30

Today’s proposal is creating a decorative lamp out of fresh daisies which will be the star of the party, placed over the main table, below the trees as if it were a garden party or in the room’s ceiling.

Materials

  • Fresh daisies
  • Pearls in bulk
  • Hose 90 cm long, 2 cm in diameter
  • Drill
  • Teflon tape for plumbing
  • Fabric stripes to cover the hose
  • Scissors

Take care of the flowers by placing them in the shadow and with water.

Regarding the lamp’s base, another way to make them is by using a transparent hose for irrigation, and another option is using an embroidery wooden hoop, this one allows you to use artificial flowers and paste them with silicon.

Whatever base you have chosen, the 3 options must be covered before placing the flowers. The hoses may be covered with ribbons, white or green floratape or paint it white. In this case, I covered the hose with stripes of cotton fabric as it was easier than using thin ribbon. If we manage to close the tube perfectly with the Teflon tape, checking there is no leak, we can make holes in the surface to be able to insert the flowers; this way the flowers will last longer and the oil lamp will be used for other occasions. (Cover after making the holes).

We begin to place the flowers being careful to cover the base tube. I have placed 3 lines of flowers alternating them, the central covers the tube and another on top and at the bottom.

I have used threads of pearls, placing them in different heights and hiding the unions between the flowers.

Here is our finished decorative lamp

Make at least 2 to place them over the main table.

In the interior of the house you can place them in the living room at different heights, in this case make 3 to place them in 3 levels.

Now imagine a lamp over each of the guest’s tables…

Fresh daisies or other flowers for the decorative lamps, are ideal for a Romantic Religious Party, with which you will give a delicate touch of elegance to your event.

Pleasure to make your party special.
